HORSE PAINTING

together with my friend and artist: Alexandra Bernhardt

-> one can paint everywhere and everything!

"PAINT ALONG THE WAY"

is my new motto while I am on the road. And it is the perfect solution to combine traveling and creative work...

Here some works I did while traveling:

1. Tablepainting at the Amphitheatre Lodge and Hostel in the northern Drakensberge, South Africa,   www.amphibackpackers.co.za

2. Mosaics at the Amphitheatre in the northern Drakensberge, South Africa

3. Kitchendesign for the Wild Spirit Lodge in the Crags, Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, www.wildspiritlodge.co.za

"TREE OF LIFE" - MURAL FOR LITTLE LAMBS

The Tree of Life mural also comes along with my last exhibition wherefor a friend of mine who's also an artist sponsored a painting of a tree she did together with children in Austria. It was a creative workshop with kids where now kids made art for other kids. Thank you Alexandra, Art by Thaisis: www.thaisis.com , for the painting and the love.

and because I was unable to carry the big tree painting all the way down to south africa I decided to design a mural for the kids there instead. A mural of the "The Tree of Life" which stays there forever and which will always remind them that there were once some austrian children making a painting for them.

And here the TREE OF LIFE mural at little lambs, Hout Bay, Cape Town, South Africa:

ARTWORK WITH THE KIDS IN SOUTH AFRICA

According to my "Art for Africa" exhibition in April I travelled down to South Africa in June and supported a pre school. I went to Imizamu Yethu which is a township just on the outskirts of Cape Twon and I did some creative work with the kids. So in June and July I've been giving art classes at Little Lambs www.littlelambs-kapstadt.com .

Here my weekly projects:

1. WEEK PROJECT

Making name tags with the kids. Combining work and fun is always the best way to teach. So in this way they could learn how to write their names plus they had a lot of fun painting and colouring their own tags in their favorite colours :)

2. WEEK PROJECT

creating a little yearbook with the kids. Each child got a separate page to paint and was afterwards allowed to chose where to put their photo that I took from them last week. Whenever all the single pages where done we put them all together for a little yearbook. So the Brown class of Little Lambs got a year book for 2014 and after the yaer is over I told them to take the book apart again so each child can get back their own page.

3. WEEK PROJECT

Origami. This week I showed the kids how to make their own toys out of paper. The kids could choose from three different Origami. A boat, a airoplane or a hat. After we had folded it for each child they then needed to color it before they were allowed to play and have fun. And yes, it even makes more fun to play with a nice and colorful origami :)

4. WEEK PROJECT

Face painting. A lot of fun for me as well as for the kids. They could choose anything they wanted to be, they just needed to tell me. It was a hard decision for some of them but at the end everybody was happy and could celebrate Mandela's day even more!

"ART FOR AFRICA" - TRAVEL/ART EXHIBITION IN GERMANY
